Double Studding
New Ice is equipped to stud your tires like they've never been studded before!
Ice resurfacer tires are inflated to 65-75 PSI, resulting in a crowning effect on the tire. This rounded edge inadvertently points the studs outwards thus loosing some of their grip.
The benefits of double studding ice resurfacer tires is simple - More traction. Placing studs on the two center treads guarantees that the tire is gripping effectively.
Re-studding
During everyday use of your ice resurfacer, tires will lose studs with no ill effect to the amount of grip on the ice. However after extended hours of use, studs will loosen quickly and more will disengaged from the tire.
Re-studding is then necessary so that the machine maintains it's smooth operation on the ice.
New Tires
We have obtained premium pricing for our customers. We purchase Hankook, Kumho or Dayton tires as these tires are the best for this application. Studding and installation are included in our tire pricing.
